What is the Age Limit for IVF in Greece?

Greece is a popular destination for IVF due to its advanced medical technology and supportive legal framework. Under Law 3305/2005, women can undergo IVF up to the age of 54. However, women aged 50-54 must meet additional medical requirements, including test results and approval from doctors. There is no age limit for men.

Embryo Transfer Guidelines:

  • Under 35: 1-2 embryos.
  • 35-40: Up to 2 embryos in the first two cycles; 3 in later cycles.
  • Over 40: Up to 3-4 embryos.
  • Using Donor Eggs: Only 2 embryos, regardless of age.

These rules ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and child while reducing the risks of multiple pregnancies.
