DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC. I was excited to work with them as they advertise a “no waiting period” – but when I called to set up an appointment they told me that this offering is only for heterosexual couples and that LGBT couples need to undergo a three-month waiting period. I thought it must be for legal reasons but when I asked they said some doctors won’t work with LGBT people, but “don’t worry it’s not discriminatory.” That is so obviously discriminatory I am honestly shocked and would recommend everyone take their business elsewhere.
Had very good guidance from start to finish. We always thought along with us in a flexible and empathetic manner. Thanks again for your help!
“I Felt Right at Home and Very Satisfied with My Treatment Experience!”
I felt very much at home here.
Well guided throughout the process.
Really took the time for me, no unnecessary delays.
There is a waiting list. But once you are in treatment you can really go for it.
Treatments also continue during the weekend. That is not the case everywhere.
In short, very satisfied.
“Disappointed by Lack of Empathy and Poor Communication During My Fertility Struggle”
Honestly, my experience was not good. Already its hard to be going trough fertility issues and the service they provided was not very comforting.
Most of the doctors are in a bad mood or seem to be bothered by your questions or situation. Even being cinical at some point…
There are some nice people in the pharmacy and nurses… but the doctors don’t show empathy.
Many things, like making appointments, asking for guidance, etc was just difficult .
Also they don’t communicate all the options and extra services we can opt for… like receptivity tests… i found out at the very end of the IVF round that such test was available there.
Im just dissappointed with the whole experience.
“Thrilled with Our Second IUI at MCK – Friendly, Professional Team!”
Second IUI process only started at mck.
We already have a beautiful 2.5 year old daughter and the second is on the way.
Great experience at the mck, always clear explanation!
Everyone is always friendly and professional.
Highly recommended!
“MCK team provides professional and supportive guidance for pregnancy journey”
My girlfriend and I went to the MCK for help with pregnancy. I personally found that quite a difficult step. Fortunately, the MCK team understands this very well and as soon as you enter, you will be helped pleasantly and professionally.
After a 6-month process, we are happy and grateful to have a little one on the way.
We are enthusiastic about the team that guided us! Practitioners and other employees are professional and friendly, pay attention to you as a couple and as an individual and what this process does to you.
Even if you want to talk/discuss/think about any difficult decisions, professional guidance is a good place to do so (which has personally helped me a lot).
“Exceptional staff and cherished memories with our dedicated doctor”
Very friendly and professional staff. We especially cherish the memories of the visits to our dedicated doctor.
My Experience as a BAM (21 years) at MCK: Lack of Communication and Disrespectful Treatment
My experience as a BAM (21 years) at MCK. The website, despite extensive searching, did not clearly state that an assessment by a social worker was part of the process; it only mentioned their support for those who were having a hard time, MCK was impossible for me to reach, and I had to go after it myself. The case manager said that I could be placed in a high profile (in terms of contact moments). But I could indicate my preference in the form. However, this was never short-circuited, and I was not contacted further. The much promised guidance was nowhere to be found. During a conversation with a social worker I didn’t feel good. I was actually forced to start a relationship, and that I am too young (while you can register from the age of 18). I have followed help programs and was honest about this. DO NOT do this, you will be written off immediately. Someone I had with me as support was completely rejected by the social worker, because she was pointed out her mistakes, as she did not have her things in order. I had sent her another email, and they would discuss it again. Afterwards the social worker was ill, and I was kept informed about this. The 3rd week I heard nothing at all, and I was unsure. I left here since I didn’t get a fair chance. And I and my network have been treated with disrespect.
“After 5 failed IUI attempts and 6 failed frozen embryo transfers, Kinderwens Medical Center helped me achieve pregnancy”
Since 2018 we have been working on our desire to have children. After one year of trying, we ended up at the doctor. My GP assigned us to OLVG West. We were thoroughly investigated there. It turns out that we both have no abnormalities. Yes. We have “unexplained infertility”, otherwise we are healthy and relatively young (my husband was born in 1985 and I was born in 1987).
At OLVG we have had 5 IUI attempts and 1 IVF attempt, of which we received 11 embryos. Had 1x fresh replacement. We lost 4 embryos during embryo freezing. Had frozen embryo transfers 6 times. All failed. Then we decided to go to another hospital. I previously heard a good story about the Kinderwens Medical Center from my colleague. All kinds of tests were done on the first visit. We were linked to an IVF coach/case manager for questions and, if necessary, mental support. I immediately felt well treated, not that feeling of being just a number. The trajectory was clear. They are easily accessible for questions. I particularly liked that it was all in one building, such as the pharmacy, puncture room, ultrasound room and also the laboratory. Very long story, but after the first transfer I am now pregnant! So folks, don’t give up. The miracle starts with good medical care.
Impressed with fertility treatment service but disappointed with deposit coffee cups.
Good service regarding fertility treatment. Neat office spaces/examination rooms and professional staff. However, whoever thought it was a good idea to have coffee machines at a location like this work with a deposit cup should be fired. We’re not at McDonalds after all…
This is only an indicative price. This price may not include all fees. TFP Medisch Centrum Kinderwens Leiderdorp b.v. should always tell you the exact price for the planned procedure before it starts.
