Serum IVF

I initially had a good impression of this clinic and would have recommended them based on our experience during our first IVF cycle a year ago. The staff were friendly and supportive, which left us feeling optimistic. When we first visited, they performed a hysteroscopy and advised us to try conceiving naturally for another six months, despite the fact that I was already 40 years old.

When we returned for IVF, they sold us medication (CASH ONLY!!!), but upon checking at home, we discovered it was set to expire in just six months. Additionally, a polyp they were supposed to remove during the previous hysteroscopy was still there. Despite all this, we managed to retrieve one egg, but unfortunately, the cycle failed. I now know that it’s not recommended to proceed with IVF with one egg only.

The following year, I was advised to undergo ovarian PRP and another hysteroscopy. This time, the clinic recommended buying medication from some shady pharmacy that provided no itemized breakdown of costs. We later discovered we could have purchased the medication elsewhere for much less.

We proceeded with the medication, but it ended unsuccessfully because they missed my ovulation and no eggs were retrieved. Throughout this process, we were shuffled between three different doctors. The primary doctor, Dr. Gryparis, was unavailable for our first scan, so we saw another doctor. When it was time for egg collection, Dr. Gryparis briefly introduced himself, seemingly not even remembering me. The entire process felt impersonal, as though they followed a one-size-fits-all protocol with no individualised care.

During our final consultation, Dr. Gryparis was dismissive and rude, essentially saying, “Well, these things happen. Anyway, you’re 43, so your chances are low.” This lack of compassion and personalised care was incredibly disheartening.

If you are looking for a clinic with a personal approach and consistency in care, I would not recommend this one. Additionally, their recommendation of an unethical pharmacy and their apparent focus on maximizing profit at the expense of hopeful and trusting patients raises serious concerns about their practices.

Outstanding care and expertise. I literally cannot express the incredibly quality of care I received in Serum.
I had a video consultation with Serum after a year of trying to get someone in Ireland to help me remove a cesarian scar defect which was affecting fertility (to date, 3 years of TTC when I had no issues conceiving previously). I was being told in Ireland it was too complex and risky to remove (despite the fact it was filled with potentially toxic fluid). I felt so unseen and unheard. Every way I turned I couldn’t find anyone to help. Even one of the top gynaecologist surgeons in the country wasn’t confident operating on it. Fast forward to my consultation with Serum and they told me they could resolve the issue no problem. I travelled to Greece last week for a hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and surgery to remove the defect. I needed a general anaesthetic and a night in hospital. I had never been to Greece before and had to travel alone for various reasons. I was petrified to say the least! I will never forget the kindness, compassion, empathy, care and efficiency with which I was treated. From the staff at the clinic (every single person I met), to she staff in the hospital and the staff at Seroom apartments – I felt so well taken care of. I was seen by the same consultant throughout and he put me at ease from the very first consultation. He removed the defect with ease and is confident I should be able to conceive naturally once healed. Everything was so thorough and they took a much more holistic approach than I had received in Ireland. Just like that, after a year of stress, anxiety, time wasting and a lot of money wasted – the problem was dealt with easily and efficiently at Serum. No matter what happens next for us, I will be forever grateful for the team and Serum for helping me when seemingly no one in Ireland could. A centre of excellence for sure and some of the most amazing people I have ever met.

Serum clinic in Greece was the best decision I made. After 4 attempts in Iceland I decided to try in Greece. I heard about clinic from few people with good experience so I decided to try myself. Higly reccomended!!!

Penny & her team are just amazing. After failed attempts at another clinic we took the decision to journey to Athens to see Penny at Serum. What a difference! Everything is tailored to you. They don’t just keep doing the same thing. Everything was explained to me. Penny even told the taxi driver where to take us to. There was no charge for the consultations & on our second attempt we were blessed with twins. After many years we were finally to bring our children to meet everyone at Serum & Penny greeted us as family, even bringing a teddy each for our children. Sadly Penny’s husband has passed but we were able to include him in our photos due to the lovely picture of him in the reception. Serum will always be in our heart ❤️

I had a great experience at Serum. The success rates for my age group are impressive, and the facilities were modern and well equipped. The entire team was knowledgeable and helpful and always took the time to answer my questions. Everything went very smoothly and I was supported through all the process. After many IVF fails in other countries, Serum’s service was excellent and this surelly helped to make our treatment successful. I now have a healthy boy thanks to the professionals at this clinic. Overall, I strongly recommend Serum to anyone considering IVF.

We cannot thank the team at serum ivf enough. From our first consultation appointment to our visit to the clinic, they have all made us feel at ease, answered any questions we had and explained everything thoroughly and with compassion. The detail and testing that is offered is far superior to the UK. Everything feels unique to you and we really feel that everything has been looked at to give us the best chance possible of achieving our dream of having a family. We still have a journey ahead but we know we have made the right decision to do this journey with serum ivf.

Serum IVF is superb.
Unfortunately the UK & Ireland clinics are miles behind the Europeans with regards to IVF. This clinic is one of, if not the best. The whole experience was completely different to the one I had in the UK, right from the off set with the very informative and easy to navigate website.

The high quality and efficient service provided from the first point of contact is second to none. Everyone you deal with from reception staff to cleaners and clinical staff in between are friendly and professional. With impeccable English language skills, that helped make the journey so much easier.

The whole clinic service is based around a family friendly environment, with my young daughter made feel welcome and part of the journey to.

The investigations and tests offered for a mere fraction of the cost in the UK, meant you felt that every avenue had been explored.

Amazing experience with everyone at Serum and specifically with my doctor, Dr Mando. I came to Serum through a recommendation from a friend and from the first emails / calls Dr Mando was hugely understanding and informative. I asked millions of questions before I made the decision to go out as I had a lot of fear about the procedures etc and am so glad I did. The issues they found had not been found in the UK and I truly believe their treatment is better than what I could have got elsewhere. Well what can I say! Serum are amazing after years and years of failed cycles in the uk we had perfect embryos and a miracle little girl after one cycle with Serum. Everyone is kind knowledgeable and puts you at ease with everything. It’s the best thing we ever did coming from the UK yo athens and now we are here again yo hopefully make a second sibling miracle!
