Why choose the London Women’s Clinic?

  • Expert and Caring Medical Staff
Numerous patients commend the medical professionals at LWC, highlighting their expertise and compassion. Doctors like Dr. Goswami and Dr. Mourik are particularly celebrated for their attentive care and detailed explanations throughout treatment. Staff members actively engage with patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensuring that concerns are addressed with empathy.
  • Positive Journey for Many Patients
Many reviews reflect successful outcomes, with numerous testimonials celebrating successful pregnancies and the arrival of healthy babies. The clinic’s support and guidance during these sensitive times help make what is often a challenging process more manageable and fulfilling for couples seeking fertility assistance.
  • Informative Open Days
Patients appreciate the informative open days hosted by LWC, which provide valuable insights into the IVF process without any obligation to commit. Many prospective patients found these sessions helpful in understanding their options, which in some cases led to choosing LWC over competitors.
  • Dedicated Patient Coordinators
The introduction of Patient Care Coordinators at the clinic has been praised as an invaluable support resource, offering a consistent point of contact for patients. Coordinators like Safak and Ana-Maria have made significant impressions by demonstrating genuine care and attention, guiding patients through each step of their journey.
  • Quick Response Times

What to watch out for at London Women’s Clinic?

  • Communication Breakdown
A recurring theme in reviews is ineffective communication between clinic staff and patients. Some have reported delayed email responses from coordinators, leading to missed appointments and prolonged treatment timelines. This lack of coordination can significantly impact the emotional and practical aspects of fertility treatments.
  • Billing and Costs Transparency Issues
Patients frequently express dissatisfaction with the opacity surrounding clinic fees and billing practices, with many feeling blindsided by unexpected costs. Transparency regarding pricing and the breakdown of services offered remains a common point of frustration, especially for couples in sensitive financial situations.
  • Disorganization and Coordination Issues
Several reviews describe LWC as experiencing disorganization within departments, where doctors, nurses, and coordinators often operate without effective communication. This has resulted in patients feeling overlooked or receiving contradictory information about treatment plans.
  • Pushy Treatment Recommendations
Some patients feel that they have been pressured into making decisions regarding treatments such as IVF and egg donation, often before fully understanding their individual situations. This has contributed to a sense of impersonal service, where patients feel like mere transactions rather than valued participants in their fertility journeys.
  • Inconsistent Care Quality
Reviews indicate that the quality of care can vary widely among clinic staff. While many patients laud their interactions with certain doctors and nurses, others report negative experiences with specific professionals who have been perceived as rude or lacking empathy, highlighting a concerning inconsistency across the board.

I’m really happy I chose LWC for my fertility treatment. It’s not been an easy road by any means but we are so blessed to have welcomed our beautiful precious boy into this world. I just wanted to give a special thank you to our wonderful PCC Safak. She kept us going and was always so efficient and kind. We were here a few years back when the PCC role was not in place and it just made us feel so much more seen and the support was more than what we could ever ask for. Thank you LWC- we will be back for baby number 2!

Cannot recommend LWC enough, in particular Dr Priti Jain, Jamie Rhodes & Faye Buck. I was extremely nervous having never had surgery before, and with a few set backs along the way they did everything they could to do put me at ease.

“Disappointed with LWC: Poor Communication and Lack of Compassion in My IVF Journey”

I went through two rounds of IVF with LWC. The nurses at the Brentwood clinic and at Harley Street were nice. Unfortunately Dr Kovats at the Brentwood clinic has no bedside manner, I found her to be rude, she actually laughed at me down the phone once and told me to lose weight. I asked to not speak to her following that incident. Following the second round of IVF, which failed, I was not contacted for approx two weeks. Only then to receive an email to state, sorry the doctor has only just informed us what happened. In that time the app kept sending me lovely reminder messages to take my medication for the embryo that I didn’t have. The fact that they can’t even communicate between themselves shows how disorganised they are. The after care is shocking. Don’t waste your time and money with LWC, I wish I hadn’t. There is a serious issue with the duty of care to their patients, considering the vulnerability of people going through fertility issues and the large amounts of money they are happy to take off you. I once cried while talking to one of the nurses as I wasn’t getting very far with follicle growth, next time I spoke to the doctor, she made me feel bad about that and suggested counselling, she said she would send me the details and never did. I’m disappointed and disgusted with how I have been treated. You just feel like a number being dealt with. Good luck and go elsewhere!

“Grateful for Exceptional Care at LWC-Brighton: Our IVF Journey was Supported Every Step of the Way!”

LWC- Brighton

My partner and I could not recommend LWC- Brighton enough. From start to finish we have felt so cared for and fully informed of every step along the way. Coming into this we had no idea what IVF entailed or what to expect. Kind IVF made our dream of starting a family much more achievable. A particular thanks must go to our Nurse Emma Roughsedge- she has been amazing. She made us feel like no question we thought of was silly- she remembered little details about us which made it seem much more personal. She is a great nurse with a lot of knowledge- she struck the perfect balance of being hopeful and realistic which helped manage our expectations- and she seemed genuinely invested in our journey- we looked forward to our appointments with her and sharing our news. Our Sonographer Suraya was also so lovely- her bed side manner was very caring and she took the time to explain everything fully to us with great knowledge. Our Consultant Mr Rimington is incredibly down to earth, hugely knowledgable- we always felt in safe hands with him. His passion shines through in every interaction! The anaesthetist Mel at the Eastbourne clinic was fantastic and super lovely during the egg collection process, putting my partner at ease throughout. All in all we feel the entire team including the nurses at Eastbourne too, were so caring and we felt so looked after which we feel positively impacted our experience. Forever thankful. Megan and Tracey

“Grateful for My Decision to Choose LWC for Egg Freezing!”

I’m really happy I chose LWC. I was initially against egg freezing but after a lot of research I couldn’t have chosen a better clinic. I was originally going with a different clinic (CRGH) and even made an appointment there but the staff were rude, unhelpful and unresponsive (and the prices were just too high). On a whim, I went to the Open Day hosted by LWC, just to learn about the process. And I liked the people so much that I decided to switch clinics. My advice to you – even if you’re not sure just go to the open day and learn about the process for free and you’re not obligated to do anything after that. My absolutely AMAZING Treatment Coordinator, Pearl Nadunga was actually at the open day and she managed my case afterwards. She was just the best, always so friendly, sincere, helpful and approachable. I felt the whole team never pressured me to do any cycles (I ended up doing three). They really treat you like a patient and not a customer/dollar sign. I’m really grateful to Pearl for all her help and kindness. The process is already a big toll on the body so you want the right people around you. Also wanted to say thank you to my nurse Roxana Grigoras, and my consultant Georgina and the two doctors – Dr Serra and Dr Sfakianakis, and anaesthesiologists and other ER staff. Also side note, the pricing at LWC doesn’t obligate you to commit to three cycles before you get the benefit of a discount. Instead, I can pay for one cycle at a time and still get discounted rates for more cycles. So apart from just really good people/staff, I’d say the clinic also makes things easier for you financially. I also appreciated the meet up groups with other people going through this. Thank you!

“Best Experience Yet at London Women’s Clinic – Thank You, Nurse Sophie!”

My partner and I went to London Women’s Clinic for a procedure. This is our third experience at the clinic and by far our best. We had a nurse named Sophie Baker who reassured us, kept us informed throughout the procedure and was very helpful. She had a friendly disposition which helped us to feel relaxed and make sure our experience went smoothly as possible. Thank you Sophie!

“Feeling Supported and Hopeful at the Clinic Despite My Journey Toward Motherhood”

I had several fertility treatments at the clinic. The protocols suggested by my doctor considering my complex health history led to impressive outcomes despite my not young age. The care I received from everyone I interacted was always exceptional with an abundance of empathy especially during challenging moments when news you receive were not what you were hoping for. Despite that my dreams are yet to come true, my doctor and the clinic give me confidence I’d enjoy the motherhood chapter soon enough. 🐣

“My Disheartening Experience at this Infertility Clinic: I Wouldn’t Recommend It to Anyone”

2024.1.12 added
The following is my story of how I ended up losing the family I could have had in the future for the rest of my life.
Anyone considering true infertility treatment should definitely leave this clinic.

If you feel like you can conceive a child at any clinic, I think you can choose here or elsewhere.

2023
I had written in my paperwork that I wanted IUI, and I had told them on the phone with an interpreter and in an email to make further reservations.

However, even though I had traveled 18 hours from Japan, I was scanned to confirm the number of follicles for IVF, which was done according to the manual, which made me feel uncomfortable, but I paid the test fee.

As a result…even though we were planning on artificial fertilization, there was no explanation of the size of the growing eggs. It was extremely unpleasant.

Moreover, the email exchange at the time of reservation was very unfriendly and only sent a format.
Even though I told them my schedule for going to the UK, I actually went to the clinic for IUI and had an IVF scan done, and was told that the consultation would be in a month.
It’s IUI!

postscript
I have asked for the results of the blood tests I took three times, but I have not received them yet.
My return home is Sunday.
Even though I paid 430 pounds, this clinic’s response is strange.
At the reception desk, I was informed through an interpreter that the blood test results would be ready within 3 to 4 days.
It’s so weird to pay money but not get results.

postscript
This clinic will contact you only when you leave this review.

I requested the nursing team via email but did not receive any notification for over a week, but on the same day I posted the review, I received an email from another department with an apology, a request to delete the review, and the blood test results.

However, it was not a reply from the email I had sent beforehand.

I thought the UK had a long history of infertility treatment and had good compliance, but compared to the infertility treatment I received in Japan, this clinic was overwhelmingly unfriendly and dishonest.

It’s a shame because he was really kind to me six years ago when we had our first child…

The scale has probably grown.

Specifically, there is a lack of coordination among the reservation staff, nurses, and doctors, and each responds according to the manual.

Because it is a vertically divided organization, there is no horizontal connection, and matters discussed at the time of reservation will be ignored.

Specifically, when I consulted with them on March 22nd, they responded according to the manual, with no reply saying they could or could not do anything.

Thank you for your kind support in 2017 and 2022.

However, even though I told them that it would be the same as the reservation for 2022, they did not give me the same response.

I think something happened within the organization.

I spent over 6,900 pounds on this trip to the UK in hotel fees, airfare, and maintenance costs for an interpreter, but it was all wasted.

I definitely don’t recommend this to anyone who has difficulty following the clinic’s puppet-like schedule according to the clinic’s wishes.

If you have a job, want to adjust your schedule to the clinic, or come from overseas, you may feel uncomfortable at the reservation stage.
I would recommend another clinic.

As someone who runs a company, I believe that when subordinates are not yet fully developed, they should hire supporters.

If you are accepting patients from overseas, you will also need to prepare a manual for confirming treatment schedules with patients.

I decided to give up my first son, who was given to me by a very kind clinic a long time ago, and a sibling from the same donor, considering the possibility of collaborating with the London Spam Bank.

My child was singled out by this clinic.

Of course, my children are the only treasure in my life.

However, we cannot ignore the collaboration between clinics and donor banks.

This time, even though I hired an interpreter and consulted with the donor bank many times, the donor bank’s response was vague.

If you are using a donor bank in London, I felt that you should choose one that has transactions with many clinics in London.

Also, the 430 pounds includes the consultation fee, but since that is a cancellation, is it the same amount? ?

I can only feel disbelief now.

I only get responses when I post here, so I’ll write it here.

I believe that not being able to collaborate within an organization is fatal, as there is no chance of follow-up.

Added (2023.5.26)
Until now, I had only received a response when I posted a review, but suddenly I received an email from Dr. Gill asking for a consultation.

There are probably teams in other departments who don’t know that I am responding to reviews.

It became clear that we were siled and could not work together.

It is very disappointing.

Addendum 2024.1.12
It seems that there is still no coordination.
As a summary, since you have a free period, would you like to come for infertility treatment? This is an email.

In response to this review, I haven’t had any patients come to the hospital who deny or apologize.Would you like to receive infertility treatment? I received an email saying.

Did the clinic forget to turn off the standard email settings? ?

I don’t think this email would be sent to someone who has given up on their child due to this clinic’s treatment.

I can’t believe that this email is for me, who is no longer able to give my eldest son a sibling.

If you are considering going to a clinic that is sad, sad, and sad, and caused you to lose your chance to get a loved one, I recommend you look at other clinics.

Great support during my egg donation today. It was my first time under a sedative and I was nervous but the team made me feel perfectly at ease and were patient and professional at every step of the way.
