Kinderwunschzentrum Ludwigshafen – Dres. med. Schmidt

We had 2 Icsi’s at this fertility center without success.

The stimulation takes place according to a certain pattern. If you don’t comply with this, you’re out of luck.

The entire team is very moody.

We were constantly seeing a different doctor.

After the first Icsi we waited for a call back with the result, unfortunately there was no call. We then called there and the doctor’s assistant told us in a very unfriendly manner that the test was negative and that I should stop all medication, etc.

After the second Icsi, we were called by the doctor a few days later asking how we wanted to continue…..uh hello, we have to let the negative result sink in first, so we don’t know how and when we’ll continue want.

Unfortunately, compassion and kindness are not very important there.

Requesting a report is very tedious, we only received our findings after repeated inquiries/emails and had to pay an additional €10 for them.

All in all, unfortunately very disappointing and very sad that you are treated like a number.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this fertility center.

Ok attention ⚠ I would like to share my experience at the CHILDREN’S WISH CENTER LUDWIGSHAFEN, which unfortunately was anything but positive. In theory, this is a place where couples go with great desire and hopes to fulfill their dream of becoming parents. Unfortunately our expectations were shattered by the staff in less than 5 minutes.

Our appointment was at 4:15 p.m. and we both left work early to be on time. On the way we got into a long traffic jam at 3:40 p.m. caused by a burned out car. Despite the situation, we wanted to respectfully inform the center of our slight delay. Unfortunately it was impossible to reach anyone – we were redirected to voicemail every time. (Called x8 times) Finally we left a message to explain the situation and apologize, also leaving our phone number there.

We arrived at 4:25 p.m. and immediately excused ourselves in the hope that we could still make the appointment. However, the reception unkindly informed us that full time with the doctors was no longer possible, which we could understand. Instead, we were offered to take a blood sample and make a new appointment later – but for a fee, even though our insurance covers everything.

What was particularly disappointing was that, as a foreigner, I was asked to provide additional insurance documentation to ensure that I was really insured. They could have simply entered my insurance number and checked everything themselves. But this is exactly where the lack of motivation among employees becomes apparent. In an institution that is supposed to support people in such sensitive moments, you definitely expect a different level of commitment.

We felt extremely uncomfortable while waiting and decided to leave as the nature of the treatment had destroyed our trust in the center. The fact that no one responded to us leaving the center made the experience even more disappointing.

I understand that there are challenges in the German healthcare system, but it would be helpful if the staff were more accommodating and solution-oriented towards patients. Such behavior leaves the impression of a lack of commitment and care – a real problem that is only getting worse.

So: we will definitely no longer be planning our children at the Ludwigshafen Fertility Center. – By the way, Germany has a problem with an aging population and very few young people… wouldn’t that be reason enough to work with more motivation?…

Mr. Dr. Schmidt was our attending doctor, he is very friendly and explains everything in detail. The whole practice team is super friendly and helpful! We had our first conversation in November 2023! It was decided that only ICSI treatment was an option! After the first ICSI we also became pregnant successfully!!!!! We would like to thank Dr. Schmidt and his MEGA team for making our little miracle come true!

Unfortunately after my late miscarriage, 2 attempts were unsuccessful, the last 3 attempts didn’t even get a call back from the doctor! Unfortunately very disappointed!

We found the practice to be extremely well organized. We always got appointments promptly and never had to wait long in the practice. The entire team was very friendly. We were with Dr. Schmidt was treated and we felt very, very well looked after. She is professionally competent, informed us about our options, treatments and chances of success and was very realistic. All around a great doctor. With her help we finally got pregnant with twins. Thank you very much 🙏.

Questions about treatment, medication, examinations, etc. are sometimes responded to in a very unfriendly and snappy manner. Our doctor has left the center, we only found out about that in passing. Unfortunately I didn’t feel like I was in good hands and will therefore try my luck elsewhere.

We can only recommend this clinic. Everyone is super nice and helpful. Since April of this year, our little miracle has been part of our lives and turns our world upside down every day. After just one successful ICSI treatment.
