Dr. med. Bernd Lesoine is extremely competent and friendly. Compared to other doctors at the fertility clinic in Pasing, Dr. Lesoine in Munich took a lot more time for the examinations and carried them out thoroughly and conscientiously. I cannot understand the bad reviews and can only report that I found the honesty and clear communication very pleasant right from the start. I also felt like I was in good hands, informed and looked after in the practice, with no trace of rip-offs.

Dr. Lesoine and his team were emphatic, professional and very well organized. This also includes the team in the laboratory – who demonstrated a lot of patience, sensitivity and skill when taking blood! After 1 miscarriage and another attempt, we have now been able to hold our little miracle in our arms for 9 months.

I had an exceptionally positive experience with the A.R.T fertility clinic. Bogenhausen compared to another clinic I visited. Dr. Barbara de Oriol was the first doctor who was really interested in thoroughly examining my health problems.

In other clinics I had the feeling that after a simple blood test they wanted to rush me into in vitro fertilization. At A.R.T. Bogenhausen was completely different.

Dr. Med. Barbara de Oriol was very sensitive and had the patience to listen to my concerns. With her help, I finally got pregnant after three years of trying. I am deeply grateful to her and would like to recommend this clinic to all couples struggling with infertility.

Blood is taken and hormones are determined so that the doctor can use the hormone values ​​to determine when exactly to take clomiphene, when exactly ovulation is triggered, and from when to start taking utrogest. So far so good.
However, if you have an appointment on a Friday (the appointment has to be in a certain cycle period, you can’t choose), and blood is taken and you are told that you won’t get the blood values ​​until Monday (which you won’t surprising and self-explanatory) and you then have to ESTIMATE the times, I ask myself WHY blood is taken, especially if you are a self-paying patient.
I would also be recommended to have insemination. This is done if the man’s sperm are not of good quality or the cervical mucus is not pronounced. Neither is the case with us.
But that’s what the holiday representative tells you… That this expensive procedure doesn’t make any sense.
I’m still not finished.
Ms. de Oriol (as Dr. Lesoine’s vacation replacement) refused to prescribe me another prescription of clomiphene, even though I still had 4 tablets and, according to Dr. Lesoine actually needed 6. Why remains forever unclear. After 4 clomids, only 1, not 2 (as intended 2) follicles developed. Which works for me even without clomiphene.
The end of the story: a bill of €245 for nothing.

We were under treatment for a very long time and made several IVF attempts (including cryo > 6) in vain. The biggest point of criticism on our part is that there is no diagnostic approach in practice. Even after several IVF attempts, sometimes with two fertilized eggs without any sign of pregnancy, the practice has made no attempt to scientifically analyze possible obstacles. Instead, arguments are constantly made with probabilities and simple stochastics, whereby the respective probability is added up per attempt in order to spread hope.

The likely reason for this is as simple as it is obvious: further IVF attempts will of course generate more sales and therefore more profit for the practice. Of course, as a rule no monocausal cause can be stated for the failure to get pregnant, but the sum of potential disruptive factors becomes a factor. We switched to the university clinic for this diagnostic approach and lo and behold, some findings were identified (including chronic endometritis) that had not been recognized in more than 15 months of treatment in this practice because no diagnostic attempt was made at all. We lost a lot of time and money as a result, as fortunately most of the obstacles can be dealt with. That’s how it was in our case: the first IVF attempt after a lengthy diagnosis phase at the university clinic was successful and we are expecting our first child. There are no economic constraints here, although they certainly do not exist in this form in this practice because during our treatments the costs were increased by a factor of 2 in a rather non-transparent manner.

The argument based purely on probabilities without a scientific-diagnostic approach should make anyone suspicious. Everyone should be aware that every practice is a small business and that a quick pregnancy for customers does not necessarily have to be the primary goal of the company or practice.

Looking back on the time when we wanted to have children, I can say that we always felt like we were in very good hands with Prof. Berg. Thanks to Prof. Berg’s extensive experience, examinations and treatments were carried out routinely and efficiently, but when necessary, questions were always answered in detail, professionally competently and with a lot of patience. Ethical concerns were also always taken seriously and never trivialized. Prof. Berg is very factual and sober in his education, approaches problems pragmatically and knows how to provide comfort and convey confidence in an honest way and with a lot of empathy. We always had complete trust in Prof. Berg and could not have wished for better support during this difficult time.
