I’m currently sitting here with my lovely baby girl thanks to the support from Uma and Bristol Fertility Clinic.
We found that doing IVF through Uma was practically and emotionally the right choice. Practically, because the speed with which we went from investigative tests, to having our fresh IVF cycle, to having our (successful) frozen transfer was quicker than we expected. Uma really helped us move things along speedily and was worth the extra money to buy us some precious time.
Emotionally, we felt well supported by Uma, Serena and all those at BFC. And with Uma advising us through the process, we knew the best decisions were being made, providing us with peace of mind that we were doing all we could, whatever the outcome may turn out to be. Uma took an evidence-based approach that was tailored to our specific issues and it worked out for us!
I can’t recommend BFC enough.
Fantastic service and a lovely team. Lisa and Dr Gordon have been thorough and kind throughout. Very lucky to have become pregnant with first cycle of ICSI. They partner with BCRM for egg collection and embryo transfer… BCRM are also phenomenal. Kind, reassuring and professional. Thank you to all x
“Thanks to Mrs. Gordon and the BFC, I went from hopelessness to welcoming my beautiful baby boy!”
I was at a point where I just felt it was time to give up. I was diagnosed with PCOS by the NHS but offered absolutely no solutions other than to try and be happy and lose some weight. I felt really deflated and not heard.
This is when I decided to look elsewhere and found the BFC. I was looked after by Mrs Gordon who is incredible. Rather than just tell us the problem, she explained how PCOS worked and why it was affecting my fertility.(We had been trying for 2 years). We did of course.discuss weight but it was with practical advice to follow a low GI diet which was never mentioned by NHS. She also provided Metformin to manage symptoms and Leterozole to induce ovulation. We were lucky and it only took 3 cycles of the treatment to conceive and 9 months later we have a beautiful baby boy.
Nicola at the clinic is so helpful too. Always responsive to emails and super helpful.
I literally cannot fault the standard of care and treatment and would wholeheartedly recommend Mrs Gordon to anyone struggling with fertility.
“I Highly Recommend Mrs. Gordon and Her Supportive Team!”
We could not recommend Mrs Gordon and team enough, right through from the nurses to receptionists. All the way through our journey the team were so supportive and understanding. Mrs Gordon is also very knowledgeable but explains things in a simple, easy to understand way which makes you feel at ease. We have been very lucky and have had our baby as a result of our time with Mrs Gordon but would do it all over again and with them if we had to. We have no hesitation of recommending Mrs Gordon and her team.
When we first began our fertility journey, I didn’t think it would be possible to get pregnant. A colleague who had been through a similar situation highly recommended Mrs Gordan. Unlike larger IVF clinics, she focuses on the welfare of her clients and provides support every step of the way. You’re treated as an individual, not just another couple in the system. We’re now expecting a baby after a successful first round of IVF and have additional frozen embryos. I’m not sure we would have achieved the same results elsewhere. All the staff are incredible, particularly Lisa, who went above and beyond during difficult times. There was never a stupid question or a push to hurry us along. If you want a clinic that takes a client-centred approach, you won’t find anywhere better, even compared to the leading clinics in London. My partner and I cannot express how thankful we are to have found such an amazing clinic during one of the hardest times in our lives. I would give a higher rating if it was possible.
Frustrated by Lack of Communication and Unanswered Requests for Treatment Plan
We have had tests and consultations done since June 12th but for whatever reasons there is, they have refused to send the treatment plan to us.
All Emails sent to Nicola requesting for the package has been ignored/not responded to up until now!
I am still wondering what the Issue is and there has been no explanation as to why!
Maybe it’s a subtle way of telling us they do not intend to take us as patients for whatever reason so I guess we will have to seek out another clinic that will be open to communications and actions.
“Mrs. Gordon Made Our Dream of Having a Daughter Come True!”
Mrs Gordon made our dream come true! We now have a beautiful little girl and she’s everything we ever wanted.
After working with two other clinics and being very disheartened by the care received, we searched and found Bristol Fertility Clinic. The importance of continuity of care in the IVF process can’t be disputed. Having one dedicated consultant made all the difference in terms of confidence and support when things didn’t go to plan.
I call my daughter our lucky number 8, as it took that many goes to get there. We are forever thankful to Mrs Gordon, Serena, Patricia and the team for their compassionate care and dedication.
“Finding the Right Clinic: A Supportive Experience with BFC”
After speaking to various clinics we came across BFC and instantly felt they were right for us. Just such a personal first conversation compared to speaking to other clinics. Throughout the process the communication has been good and Dr Gordon and her team have been great. I had a medical issue after egg retrieval ( no ones fault) but Dr Gordon still provided care and support. Everything has been transparent with BFC and can’t thank them enough.
We Started our journey with Bristol Fertility clinic in June 2022 and met Mrs Gordon for the very first time. Mrs Gordon as most specialists in the medical industry is very factual and doesn’t beat around the bush. This approach can feel a cold and impersonal during the procedure, as I’m sure with most, IVF was not our first choice in our pregnancy journey. However Mrs Gordon’s main focus is the health of the mother and providing the best possibility of us falling pregnant.
The procedure was longer than we had expected and the procedure was changed towards the later part of our journey due to the possibility of my wife developing OHSS. These were all very frustrating at the time. Throughout the process Mrs Gordon was very factual regarding the reasoning and the dangers of not changing the procedure.
Cutting a long story short, we had a successful egg collection early December and 4 or our eggs made it to the blastocyst state. Due to timing issues on both our side and the fertility clinics side we were only able to start our next procedure later than expected and eventually on the 2nd of March 2023 we went for our FET procedure. Two weeks later we took the dreaded pregnancy test expecting the worst only to find a solid blue line indicating my wife has indeed fallen pregnant. We had a 7 week follow up scan to confirm the pregnancy and this marked the end of our journey with Bristol Fertility clinic.
IVF is a very difficult journey, emotionally and physically. There are far more injections required, more than you can ever imagine. These injections are painful and at times feel like it will never end. Towards the end of our journey I appreciated the service we received from Mrs Gordon, we got exactly what we paid for and Mrs Gordon never waivered on her objective to get us there. A big shout out to Patricia for dealing with our emotions and providing amazing support during our scans.
“Grateful for Compassionate Care at Bristol Fertility Clinic: They Helped Us Start Our Family!”
Highly recommend Bristol Fertility Clinic. The team is professional, highly skilled and experienced but most importantly compassionate and caring. Mrs Gordon is excellent. She explains all the facts, even the hard to hear ones, in an easy to understand and kind way. You really feel that she wants the absolute best for you and she understands what you are going through. Appointments are at The Spire in Bristol and the procedure is done in Cardiff at the lovely London Women’s Clinic. You get plenty of notice to be able to get there in time. We liked the drive as it gave us time to chill before the procedure. We’d go for a walk round the shops and for something to eat afterwards as you are right by the shopping/eating area. Something to know, separate from the treatment fee there are other tests that you may need to have that will cost extra.
We were lucky enough to be able to have a few cycles with BFC and we now have our baby. We will be forever grateful to Mrs Gordon and her team for their help with creating our family.
